Sunny OIT Wins Two Major Awards for Smart Doors & Locks at the "Kuihua Awards"!

On July 9th, the inaugural China (Guangzhou) Smart Home Technology Conference and the 2022 6th Kuihua Awards Ceremony were held in Guangdong. Leading smart home brands gathered to witness this prestigious competition.

Professional Empowerment Securing the Future

Recognized as the "Oscar" of the smart home industry, the 6th China CIFF "Kuihua Award" was hosted by China CIFF (China International Exhibition Center), the Kuihua Award Selection Committee, NetEase Home, and CIFF Cloud Network. It was co-organized by the Fifth Electronics Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Mingyuan Digital Construction Research Institute, and the KNX Ecosystem Alliance.

Upholding its tradition, this year's Kuihua Award leveraged authoritative expertise to establish the highest evaluation standards in the smart industry, exploring new demands across home scenarios horizontally and investigating product innovation vertically. Sunny OIT showcased its smart lock vision solutions. After multiple rounds of expert review, re-evaluation, and public voting, Sunny OIT was honored with the 2022 Smart Lock Industry Technology Seed Award and the 2022 Smart Door Industry Technology Seed Award, earning high recognition within the industry.

The Kuihua Award also featured the "New Corporate IP, Experts Endorse" activity. After nearly three months of intense competition, Luke Zhou, Marketing Director of Sunny OIT, was appointed as a "2022 China CIFF Kuihua Award Selection Committee Expert Member". He will collaborate with other industry experts and entrepreneurs to conduct more professional, comprehensive, and objective evaluations of smart home entries, selecting exemplary models of craftsmanship and excellence within the industry.

Smart Locks: True 3D & Lightweight

As a robotics vision system solutions provider, Sunny OIT has deeply invested in multiple vision technologies including Time-of-Flight (TOF), binocular stereo vision, and structured light, developing several smart lock vision solutions. The award-winning solution presented at CIFF was the binocular vision solution, D200.

As an upgraded version of the basic facial recognition model D100, the D200 integrates facial recognition and a peephole camera into a single solution. Its core board is more compact and refined, featuring a small-sized peephole camera with a wide 120° field of view. It supports video intercom and has been integrated with the Tuya cloud platform.

The D200 incorporates Sunny OIT's proprietary core algorithms, enabling rapid completion of the entire process—depth calculation combined with facial recognition calculation—and outputs facial recognition results directly. It is widely applicable in smart locks, access control, and similar scenarios. Key advantages include low power consumption, cost-effectiveness, rapid recognition, and an integrated RGB camera supporting peephole video intercom functionality.

Beyond the binocular vision solution, Sunny OIT also offers multiple TOF and structured light vision solutions to meet specific customer scenario requirements.

Smart Doors: The Industry's First 3D-AI Vision Anti-Pinch Solution

While excelling in multi-sensor fusion technology, Sunny OIT continuously explores more cutting-edge applications. Pioneering the new "Smart Door" segment, Sunny OIT leverages its technological strengths to break traditional limitations. Embracing an innovative spirit, it incorporates more emerging functions and designs into its smart door vision solutions. Addressing the demand for integrated and intelligent smart doors, Sunny OIT launched the industry's first Smart Door 3D-AI Vision Anti-Pinch Solution.

Sunny OIT's 3D-AI Vision Anti-Pinch Solution utilizes self-developed application algorithms to fulfill requirements for 3D measurement-based anti-pinch protection, constant-light video capture, and 3D AI recognition. It provides a miniaturized, embedded vision solution. To meet the requirement for a single mainboard controlling all sensors, Sunny OIT developed low-power, small-sized vision sensors and integrated the vision solution into cloud platforms, achieving intelligent software platform unification.
