On March 22, Roborock launched its annual flagship product—the Roborock Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum and Mop G10S Series.
The new series features a fully evolved docking station integrating five core functions: automatic mop-washing, automatic dust collection, automatic water replenishment, automatic antibacterial treatment, and station self-cleaning. Simultaneously, it debuts the new Reactive AI 2.0 system, enabling millimeter-level precision ranging and recognition of 27 common obstacles, significantly enhancing its avoidance capabilities.
Powerful Evolution, Perfected in One Step!
The Roborock G10S Series incorporates the new RR mason 9.0 algorithm system, achieving unprecedented improvements in navigation planning and obstacle avoidance. New functionalities include rapid mapping, 3D mapping, Matrix mapping, and quick commands.
Building upon the 3D linear structured light visual avoidance solution from the previous-generation T7S series, the new Roborock G10S adds an AI visual recognition system. This sensor suite provides the robot vacuum with both depth/distance information and color image data.
The structured light sensor delivers millimeter-level depth perception accuracy, enabling 3D obstacle avoidance while detecting object heights. This allows the robot to assess clearance under low furniture like sofas and coffee tables, ensuring smooth navigation in confined spaces.
The color images from the AI vision sensor enable additional functionalities: automatically identifying furniture types and floor materials to recommend cleaning modes, recognizing 27 common obstacle types, and even locating "lost" items like shoes (pinpointing their position on the map).
Additionally, the Roborock G10S Series supports real-time video calling, allowing users to greet pets anytime, anywhere.
Sunny OIT’s self-developed miniaturized 3D linear structured light sensors and AI sensors have been supplied for mass production to multiple robot vacuum manufacturers. It is one of the few industry players capable of providing integrated camera modules + depth algorithm SDKs as a complete vision solution.
Beyond 3D structured light and AI sensors, Sunny OIT has invested significant R&D resources to deeply validate solutions in real-home environments, developing multiple specialized vision sensors.
Notably, Sunny OIT pioneered the industry’s first wide-angle 3D TOF sensor custom-designed for home robot vacuums. It captures high-precision point cloud data per frame across a wide field of view (FOV), ensuring detection accuracy while minimizing blind spots and reducing collision risks at corners. Proprietary point cloud generation and filtering algorithms empower robots to "see" more clearly and comprehensively.
