Entering the traditional e-commerce peak season in November, Xiaomi's "Mi" brand launched its new Robotic Vacuum-Mop 1T, ushering in a new era of ToF 3D precision obstacle avoidance for robotic vacuums. Sunny OIT, deeply committed to advancing 3D vision applications in robotics, collaborates closely with its customers to drive progress.
The new Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 1T employs ToF (Time-of-Flight) 3D ranging obstacle avoidance technology, featuring a front-mounted ToF camera and high-precision sensors. Leveraging the integrated ToF sensor, it significantly enhances the performance of VSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), supporting S-cross 3D obstacle avoidance and 3D VSLAM visual navigation. Utilizing an analog neural network algorithm, it maintains dynamic environmental detection during operation, enabling more intelligent and accurate route planning and map management. Through precise calculation and intelligent spatial perception, it swiftly performs obstacle ranging and avoidance, effectively preventing entrapment.
The integrated 3D ToF module enables clear recognition of the robot's immediate surroundings. Beyond detecting large obstacles, it effectively identifies small objects like socks and charging cables. By analyzing and outputting IR (Infrared) data, depth information, and point cloud data through powerful algorithms, the robot achieves precise obstacle avoidance. This effectively solves the problem common to conventional obstacle-avoidance robots and even some AI-based models—becoming immobilized after getting tangled in cables—making it one of the most powerful obstacle-avoidance robotic vacuums currently available on the market.
