In recent years, driven by labor shortages, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) have been increasingly widely adopted across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and services. These robots not only effectively address the challenge of manpower shortages but also significantly enhance operational efficiency, and have emerged as a pivotal force in advancing industrial intelligent transformation.
Yuyao Sunny Optical Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sunny OIT") has a keen insight into the broad prospects of the robotics industry. The company focuses on the R&D and sales of various robotic vision modules and core components, aiming to provide high-performance vision technology solutions for the industry.
Today, Sunny OIT announces the official launch of the high-precision navigation and obstacle avoidance modules [HYT001-EX/HST016-EX], developed in collaboration with Sony Semiconductor Solutions ("Sony") and Advantech Co., Ltd. ("Advantech"). Designed specifically for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), these modules significantly enhance autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance capabilities in complex industrial environments.
In this joint development project, Sunny OIT supplied high-performance dToF vision modules, Advantech provided the edge computing platform, and Sony contributed its proprietary [Robotics Package] application software for navigation and obstacle avoidance. This synergistic collaboration has resulted in modules that demonstrate outstanding performance and stability.
Currently, the [HYT001-EX/HST016-EX] has been officially applied in Musashi Precision Works' new generation of AMR robots (SmooV Series) in Japan. Sony will officially exhibit the [HYT001-EX/HST016-EX] and the [AMR Demo of the SmooV Series] at the International Logistics Exhibition held in Tokyo on September 10.
Multimodal Fusion: Equipped with 3 dToF modules + 1 RGB module, enabling efficient fused collection of 3D data and images.
High-Precision Positioning: When paired with Advantech's edge computing platform, it provides centimeter-level depth measurement accuracy for robots.
Wide Coverage: Features 3 dToF modules with an ultra-large field of view (FOV) design, capable of capturing depth information over a larger range in a single frame.
Cost-Effective Solution: Adopts a single dToF module design, achieving a cost-performance breakthrough for industrial-grade ToF cameras via USB interface.
Rapid Deployment: Supports USB interface, suitable for lightweight 3D perception scenarios such as warehousing and retail.
Lightweight Design: Boasts compact size and light weight, facilitating integration into various mobile devices or small robotic arms.
