On December 5th, the "2024 Edge Intelligence Developer Ecosystem Conference cum Qualcomm Edge Intelligence Innovative Application Competition Award Ceremony", hosted by APLUX and Qualcomm, was grandly held. Over 200 participants from the upstream and downstream of the artificial intelligence industry, partners, industry clients, and outstanding developers gathered in Chengdu, China. They gathered diverse perspectives through open exchanges and offered multi-dimensional strategies with professional insights.
As a partner of both APLUX and Qualcomm, Sunny OIT was invited to this grand event. It showcased AI smart cameras equipped with Qualcomm's computing power platform and APLUX's algorithms, as well as a number of robotic vision solutions at the Edge Intelligence Innovative Application Exhibition Area. David Wang, General Manager of Sunny OIT, attended the roundtable conference and explored the industry's development trends and ecological driving forces with senior executives of tech giants.
Edge intelligence technology is iterating rapidly and deeply integrating with industries. During the roundtable discussion session, David Wang, General Manager of Sunny OIT, gathered with senior executives from leading industry enterprises such as Qualcomm, APLUX, and Fibocom. They jointly discussed how to integrate industrial chain resources to drive industry development and engaged in intense ideological exchanges focusing on the theme "Global AI Development Trends and Ecological Driving Forces".
In recent years, emerging markets such as AI glasses, VR, robots, and smart door locks have risen rapidly, leading to an increasingly strong demand for computing power. Compared with traditional computing power, edge computing power features low latency, high bandwidth, and strong security. David pointed out that the development of edge computing power presents obvious scenario-driven characteristics. Except for automotive and mobile phone sectors, other application scenarios are relatively scattered, which means that the specific needs of clients in different industries will directly guide the design and optimization of edge computing solutions. Therefore, collaboration between upstream and downstream partners is required to develop truly good and valuable products.
Among numerous application scenarios, David proposed that two key areas with broad common ground deserve attention: one is AI smart cameras, which replace human eyes, and the other is the hand-eye-brain system, which replaces human hands. These not only enable remote control and unmanned operations but also effectively improve production efficiency and reduce labor costs.
In addition, David also looks forward to working with upstream and downstream partners to build an open and collaborative ecosystem, aiming to achieve "more, faster, better, and cheaper" outcomes. This will enable product solutions to have wide multi-scenario adaptability, accelerate development cycles, reduce human input, and quickly adapt to customers' changing needs.
Sunny OIT firmly believes that through continuous technological innovation and close industrial cooperation, it will be able to better serve global customers, promote the popularization and development of edge computing and artificial intelligence technologies, and contribute to building an intelligent "vision" world.
